When you’re in the horse business you have to learn to say goodbye to some really nice horses. Granted we do have a select few that will live on our place until the day they die (and that still doesn’t make sense to Riley), but for most of them there comes a day when it’s time for them to move on and find their special someone.
A week ago, Top Serloin Rancher (“Wylee”) found his special someone in Sophie Syvertsen from North Dakota. We are happy to see that he has already made the banner on her Facebook page!
It’s always fun to see the horses we have owned and/or trained go on and excel with their new owners.
Around this time last year Firewater Fly (“Fly”) relocated to Goodwell, Oklahoma, to live with her new owner Cassi Jo Schriefer. Fly has been helping Cassi excel as a barrel racer and this summer they were already in the 2D! Thank you Cassi for keeping us updated!!
Williston, North Dakota. Sadie’s sister Sydnee owns Sunders Special Luck (“Mary Jane”) who she bought from us a couple years ago. Both sisters are doing well on their horses and it’s fun to see them at the North Dakota barrel races once in a while!
Another great horse we sold last summer was Sunders Smokin Guy (“Two Socks”), who went to Clinty Hufty of Rapid City, South Dakota last summer. Clint and Two Socks recently made the short round to rope for big money at a team roping in Las Vegas.
If we can’t keep them all, the next best thing is to see our horses go on and do great things with their new owners, and it’s so fun to be able to see and hear about their successes! Best of luck to all of you!!
